The Deputy Minister of Energy and Head of the Renewable Energy and Electricity Efficiency Organization (SATBA) said: For the first time in the country, shares of 106 solar power plants with a capacity of 500 MW will be offered in the form of a public offering.
This plan is being implemented with the aim of facilitating public participation in the development of renewable power plants and allowing people to benefit from the economic benefits of clean electricity production.
Referring to the planning made for the offering of shares of this project fund, Tarztalab stated: The offering of this project fund will provide all compatriots with the opportunity to invest in the construction of solar power plants and profit from this new market, so that they can experience power plant ownership in the field of renewables without getting involved in the paths of obtaining permits.
He added: The pricing of this offering was done with the approach of facilitating public participation and an effort is being made to provide the basis for the widespread participation of the public in investing in the field of renewable energies.
Referring to the rapid development of solar power plants in the country, the head of the SATBA organization said: The capacity of the country’s solar power plants continues its upward trend by crossing the 5800 MW mark, and in the 14th government, the country’s solar capacity has increased about 7 times compared to the beginning of this period, which was about 750 to 800 MW.
Tarztalb continued: Currently, the process of implementing solar projects is underway with considerable acceleration, and on average, about 100 MW is added to the capacity of the country’s solar power plants per week.
He emphasized: The continuation of this trend, in addition to increasing the capacity of clean electricity generation, will provide the basis for reducing electricity imbalance, diversifying the energy production portfolio, and increasing the participation of the private sector and the public in developing the country’s energy infrastructure.
